2016 Bangkok condo shortlist

Just a few of the new Bangkok condominium that have made an impression in 2016.

The launching and building of Bangkok’s condominium market can be hard to keep up with. The skyline continually changes, and as they are usually built along the mass transit network they give the air that Thailand’s capital is a sprawling city. This year has been no different in welcoming new condominiums. We have selected a few that have generated more interest than most.

1. The Park at Em District.

Sukhumvit Soi 24 is one of the most popular addresses in the area. Situated amongst Phrom Phong’s endless attractions including restaurants and the glitzy shopping malls of Emporium and Emquartier, Park 24 offers luxury condominium units in a prime location. As the name suggests this project is more than just a condominium. It vasts land plots provides a tranquil getaway for residents but with every amenity you could dream of within arm’s reach. With a guaranteed 6 percent yield and managed by Ascott, it is no wonder there is a lot of hype around this new product. 

2. Chewathai Residence Asoke.

There is a good reason that this part of Bangkok of becoming a property hotspot. Situated on Bangkok’s MRT network, residents’ have the ease of being able to commute in comfort to pretty much anywhere across the city. Plus have the added benefit of getting to the airport quickly on the rail link. Residents at Chewathai Residence Asoke can enjoy the area’s accessibility combined with high ceilings and a hotel style welcome.

3. The Ritz Carlton Residences at MahaNakhon.

If there is one building in Bangkok that has received a lot of attention in 2016 it is the MahaNakon. Situated in Sathorn, this is the tallest residential building with an impressive pixelated design. Recognisable from all over the city, the completion of the building was celebrated with a light show. Later it received more press as to whether the building breached Thai Labour Laws, but today as the opening of the inside of the building starts to near, attention continues to mount as the MahaNakhon sets new standards for the city.  

4. 98 Wireless.

In and around the Lumphini area of Bangkok that includes Ploen Chit continues to draw a vast amounts of interest. Considered to be the most prestigious place to live it is no wonder new projects in this space of limited land sell out like hot cakes. 98 Wireless by Sansiri was no exception. Investors lured by this prime location by BTS Ploen Chit Station were quick to identify this building as a prime investment asset, and record breaking sales were achieved.

5. The Line.

The collaboration with the BTS Group and Sansiri has already produced some very successful projects. The brand name The Line has been applied to different buildings being built across Bangkok that combine a prime location situated in close vicnity to the BTS and the reputable finish of Sansiri. The Line Ratchathewi and The Line Asoke-Ratchada were extremely well received to the market. The first selling out in one day and the second achieving record prices. 

6. KnightBridge.

Whilst Sukhumvit is one of the most popular places to live in Bangkok with many new projects being concentrated in this area, Sathorn is making moves as the area attracts more residents and residential projects. KnightsBridge Prime Sathorn by Origin has proved just this by completely selling out. It is no wonder thanks to its modern and contemporary finishes that fit with the project’s name.

7. Ashton Chula Silom.

Another project that is setting the tone for Silom is Ashton Chula Silom by well renowned developer Ananda. This rare new masterpiece has turned heads with its grand entrance, its impressive communal areas that resemble that of a boutique hotel and is exemplary finish. Their previous project on Sukhumvit Soi 38, Ashton Morph, is testament to the developer’s ethos and is a great taste of what is to come at Ashton Chula Silom.

8. Beatniq.

The final Bangkok condominium to make our rankings is Beatniq Sukhumvit 32. Situated between two of Sukhumvit’s most prestigious and popular BTS Stations, Phrom Phong and Thong Lo, developer SC Asset is setting out to achieve a super luxury condominium with a mid century class design concept. With a string of successful projects already under their belt across Bangkok, SC Asset will certainly achieve this and has further heightened the buzz in this part of town.
