THB 3 bn sales expected

House and Condo Show

More than 200 property developers and financial institutions will be taking part in the 33rd House and Condo Show which takes place at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok from tomorrow, October 8, until Sunday, October 11, between 10am until 8pm daily.

Organised by The Thai Condominium Association, the Thai Real Estate Association, and the Housing Business Association, the show has been touted as their joint bid to spur the market during the last few months of the year.

Dr. Apa Ataboonwongse, Chair of the Organising Committee, said the real estate industry has continued to see positive signs in late 2015. She pointed out that the country’s overall economy has clearly rebounded with a weaker baht shoring up exports, and tourism enjoying constant growth.

Other favorable factors include government plans to expand mass-transit systems and also to integrate transportation and logistics systems.

She said: “All these moves benefit the real estate sector as they usher urban development to new areas paving way for new housing zones to emerge. Real-estate developers can then invest in more areas.”

More than 100,000 visitors are expected to generate sales of more than THB 3 billion during the event, while related sales during the post-event period will likely be two or three times higher.
