Vana Nava new water park in Hua Hin. Thailand-Property.comDeveloped by Proud Real Estate Co., Vana Nava, Thailand’s largest water theme park, is set to open this December, reports The Nation. Located in Hua Hin’s city centre near the InterContinental Hua Hin Resort and Cicada Market, the THB 900 million jungle-themed park spans 35 rai, with over 19 thrilling water attractions. It will include Thailand’s first Abyss slide, where up to six riders soar together from a height of 28 meters, share several near-vertical spins and then plummet into a huge funnel at speeds that surpass 45 kilometres per hour.

Other highlights include a multi-level Aqua Course obstacle course, a surf shack with a surf simulator, 12-metre high climbing wall, 1,600 square metre wave pool, 345 metre lazy river and an events plaza. Facilities also encompass restaurants, massage pavilions, lounges and more.

The facilities, interior and grounds are designed to be functional but eco-friendly, with ample tropical vegetation, a grey water management system and a micro-irrigation system, among other measures. The main roof is designed as a three-dimensional organic shape, creating a natural brand mark for the project, which will be visually prominent from Phetchkasem Road, Hua Hin’s main thoroughfare.

The water park itself occupies 20 rai; the remaining 15 rai will be developed into a four-star hotel with 400 guestrooms and a condominium. The hotel and condo are scheduled to be completed in 2016 and 2017, respectively.

Vana Nava promises to elevate the level of fun in Hua Hin, adding thrills to weekend excursions for Bangkok residents as well as drawing greater numbers of international tourists to the beach resort.
