Thais still looking to UK

EXCLUSIVE: Thai property investors are still interested in British property according to one real estate firm that showcased two United Kingdom property developments in Bangkok last weekend.

Amornrat Chumrit, Propeject Director of Bangkok-based real estate agency Sincere Real Estate, told Dot Property Group: “Thai investors are interested in new options in U.K. property investments.”

Sincere’s weekend event at the Anantara Siam hotel in the capital focused on two British property developments – Brookhouse in South London and Midland Mills in Bradford, North Yorkshire. The company is no stranger to the overseas property sector – having held a large number of successful U.K. property exhibitions in Bangkok over the course of the past few years.

Amornrat added: “Returns and price appreciation are attractive for Thai property investors in the U.K. Also capital and money markets have been doomed recently. These property investors think that now is good time to diversify their investments to different kinds of assets.

“We expect a good response from our sales numbers,” she added.
