Overnight queues in Thapra

Whizdom Thapra

Queues forming overnight ahead of the launch of property projects in Bangkok are not uncommon, but in the Thaphra area of the Thonburi side of the city some ten miles from Siam it’s unheard of.

But that’s exactly what happened last weekend at the pre-sales launch for Whizdom Station Ratchada-Thapra, a condominium development next to the BTS Talat Phlu from developer MQDC Magnolia Quality Development Corporation.

After just one day of pre-sales the project reported 80 percent of the project has been booked – a very different story to other projects in the area. Buyers are investors formed queues even from early Friday and they sat in line overnight.

Thanomsak Kaeokhiao (pictured), Deputy Operating Chief Officer of MQDC, and the owner and developer of quality residences and Whizdom-branded mixed-use development projects, said, “Whizdom Station Ratchada-Thapra, which boasts an excellent location of just one-minute from BTS Talat Phlu and is opposite The Mall Thapra, has enjoyed an excellent response from its target customers.

”The response was in contrast with the condominium market in the Thapra area, and has become a talk of the town. It was beyond our expectations, and could be called a phenomenon once again for MQDC, that customers queued up overnight for presales.

“As a result, 80 percent of the project had been booked in just one day and we will put the remaining 20 percent of the project on sale during the Grand Opening event on March 26. We expect to enjoy a great customer response and close sales within the first quarter of this year.”
