The lure of Emerald City Life

Khun Sawit Ketroj, managing director at Emerald Development Group, with Adam Sutcliffe, managing director at Dot Property

Emerald City Life Patong is no ordinary project.

After meeting with Khun Sawit Ketroj, managing director at Emerald Development Group, it is easy to understand why his string of residential projects are such a hit. He extensively travels across the globe carefully storing ideas and designs from the places he visits to uses in his projects to set them aside from anything else that is being built. In a market that welcomes new condominiums on a frequent basis it is vital to build something that varies from the norm but not something so different that it looks obscure.

The latest edition by Emerald Development Group is The Emerald City Life Condo at Patong on Phuket has certainly achieved Khun Sawit’s aim to build something with a wow factor. Aside from its convenient location on Thailand’s biggest island, the project manages to mix a blend of urban living and tropical lifestyle. The exterior of the building is adorned with geometric shapes whilst the interiors are just the right balance of vintage and modern styles. There is an incredible attention to detail from the door surrounds to the light fittings, so much so that it could be said that The Emerald City Life Condo resembles that of a Parisian apartment.

City Life condoLike most projects The Emerald City Life comes with a host of facilities, but here they all come with a twist. There are two swimming pools, one for children and the one on the roof resembles that of a five-star hotel with its slick designs of curves and lighting. It is the place to relax and take in the 360 degree panoramic views over Patong Town. There is a fully equipped fitness centre but again not just any ordinary fitness suite, but one with pods built over the pool to feel like you are running on air.

It is Khun Sawit approach and attitude towards building that makes Emerald Development Group so unique. Conceiving the ideas himself he then enlists his team of experts to make his design happen unlike an architect creating something from scratch with the aid of a brief. Inevitably his way of working will create obstacles for the design and technical teams, but this is exactly how Emerald Development Group continue to make a difference to the skylines of Thailand by building something that is far from ordinary.
