Habitat Group rethinks Bangkok condominium investment

Walden Asoke has several features that make it suitable for Bangkok condominium investment

Habitat Group has taken a different approach to developing projects suitable for Bangkok condominium investment. The homebuilder looks to cover all angles for the best possible results. This includes putting the right property management company in place and utilizing designs that appeal to a target demographic.

These efforts are evident at Walden Asoke, a low-rise condominium project in central Bangkok. Habitat Group looks to keep both end-users and investors happy through its high-living philosophy that combines modern conveniences with a nature-inspired design.

Walden Asoke features spacious units with flexible room functionality that appeals to renters. Additionally, the project is one of four under the Walden brand to be managed by Japan-based JALUX subsidiary JRE Development.

This is important from a Bangkok condominium investment perspective. JRE Development specializes in managing projects catering to Japanese tenants. According to Habitat Group, nearly 70,000 Japanese expats currently live in Thailand. The majority of this group works on a contract and prefers to rent residences as opposed to buying property.

“We have partnered with JRE Development to manage our Walden properties primarily because of their experience and understanding of client needs, especially Japanese. This fits well with our target buyer demographic as we expect 80 percent of Walden tenants to be Japanese,” Chanin Vanijwongse, Chief Executive Officer of Habitat Group, said. “JRE Development’s professionalism and knowledge will also be an important factor for potential Walden buyers, giving them confidence in the product and peace-of-mind that their investment and residences will be managed to international standards.”

The design of Walden Asoke along with the strategic property management makes it more attractive to a specific group of renters who remain active. It also provides buyers with hands-free Bangkok condominium investment.

Habitat Group estimates a 70/30 percent split between investors and owner-users at its Bangkok developments. The average rental yield at Walden projects can reach five percent annually. Walden Asoke was completed in 2020.
