Green aims for Phetchaburi

Thailand’s Phetchaburi province will aim to develop itself as a Green City to attract tourists by promoting organic produce and reducing its carbon dioxide emissions.

Phetchaburi Governor Sanit Khaosa-ard said the province will be developed as a source of safe and organic vegetables, fruits and other food. The province will also try to be an environmentally-friendly city, and a model area for a good way of life with awareness.

He called on all sides to work together in transforming the province into the Green City where tourists were drawn to.

Sanit Khaosa-ard expected that the project would help tourism and increase the local people’s income from agriculture and tourism.
