Even more Chinese interest

Thailand is on the top of the list for the Chinese.

As Thailand remains a ‘hot’ country for the Chinese, Juwai.com, the leading Chinese overseas property portal geared towards Chinese investors, has noted an increased demand for property in Bangkok.

“Bangkok has had the most rapid growth in the number of buyer inquiries. The Juwai.com Chinese Purchasing Intent Index for Bangkok soared from 100 in the second quarter of 2015 to 296 in the second quarter of 2016″, comments Charles Pittar, CEO at Juwai.com.

Pattaya still remains the most popular destination for Chinese investors receiving twice as many buyer leads than Bangkok according to Pittar. Not surprising as the rise of Chinese tourism is accredited to this increased interest, which reinforces the confidence that the Chinese have in Thai property.

“Chinese consider Thailand a welcoming, nearby country with an attractive lifestyle at an affordable price point”, says Pittar. “Thailand is sixth on China’s travel wish list for 2016, ahead of countries like France, Singapore and Macau”.

Juwai.com has witnessed a “significant amount of growth in enquiries over the last year, and their research that has concluded that their average budget of their inquiries is USD 241,000.
