Coffee lover, level 100

Any coffee connoisseur appreciates perfectly roasted beans bursting with aromatic flavours – but only the skilled will know how to roast their own or how to decorate a latte with whipped foam resembling the face of a cat.

If you don’t possess any skills other than consuming delicious coffee drinks, it’s never too late to develop more talents to add to your coffee lover resume. A perk of living in Bangkok, is the access to all things trendy and happening, which leaves plenty of opportunity for coffee making workshops.

Pastry by ann has invited Caleb Cha, World Latte Art Champion in 2015, as a guest to teach hands-on classes from  22 to 23 July 2016 to learn and perfect latte art. From foam horse faces, butterflies and peacocks, you will leave this one day class as the latte art pro you always dreamed to be. If you miss this class, there’s no need to fret as many coffee shops and bakeries in Bangkok will rotate in coffee design classes, just keep your eyes peeled!

Boncafé offers free workshops to anyone interested in coffee, frappe and smoothie recipes. For the extra serious coffee entrepreneur, there is even a free class offered on how to open your very own coffee shop! After finishing Boncafé’s free workshop, all participants will receive a certificate from Boncafé Coffee Academy to proudly hang on their wall.

Le Cordon Bleu will take anyone with a bit of previous latte knowledge to the next level through their professionally designed programmes. The academy also provides mini courses such as a six hour latte design class priced at THB 8,500 – this short course will provide you with lots of hands-on practice time and an understanding behind the science of milk and foam chemistry, selecting the right pitchers and latte art designs such as apples, hearts, tulips, waves and even 3D.

So there it is – never settle again with ‘just drinking’ delicious coffee and fancy cups of lattes. Take advantage of the workshops offered in The City of Angels and learn how to impress everyone around you with your newfound professional coffee talents.
