The THB 6 billion major expansion of BITEC (Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre) is on track for its planned opening in the fourth quarter of next year, according to the developer.
Panittha Buri, Managing Director of BITEC, said about 51 percent of the project to create an additional 32,000 sqm of event space has been completed.
The expansion project will provide three new exhibition halls, including one with a 25-metre high ceiling suitable for world tour concerts. There will also be three new convention halls, 12 new meeting rooms and additional dining and retail facilities.
Once completed, BITEC phase 2 is expected to support the growth of Thailand’s meetings and exhibition sector, and provide Bangkok with one of the most competitive exhibition venues in Asia.
