AP Adapts Japanese Design in New Bangkok Condos

set of elements from Japanese cultureListed developer AP is relying on Japanese design philosophies to appeal to Thai buyers. The company has developed an innovative “Interlock” concept in tandem with Japanese designers at Mitsubishi Estate. Three new Bangkok condominium projects will incorporate such design elements in both their architecture and interior design, creating space innovation and space optimization – key selling points for the condominiums.

Specifically, AP designers have adapted the concept of Engawa (“inside out, outside in”), seamlessly connecting interior and exterior spaces to give residents a feeling of being close to nature. They have also drawn inspiration from Kohji and Shoji (“grid and line”) incorporating repetitive patterns and clean lines in design work.

The results include the “Sky Kitchen”, which places the kitchen by a large picture window to provide city views, and the “Double Access Bathroom” that can be accessed from the bedroom and living room and features a sliding door between the toilet and shower.

Worth a combined THB 7.13 billion, the high-rise projects sporting such innovations are Rhythm Asoke II, Rhythm Sukhumvit 36-38 and Aspire Ratchada-Wongsawang. So far, the new design innovations have been well received by buyers.
