A ghostly home for Pattaya

Property buyers, investors and hotel guests seeking something spooky need look no further than Pattaya in order to satisfy their ghoulish cravings today, Halloween.

Over the past seven years Kurt Svendheim of property firm New Nordic has been developing many different concepts in the city. His idea is to create a family of buildings in one place, in different styles and price ranges to suit any guest.

For its 50th project the company wanted to do something very different and very special, so the New Nordic Hotel Concept Castle One and Castle Two (pictured) were born.

Svendheim has a strong interest in the building of castles. He builds with his heart, a spokesperson for the developer said, but the castles are as special to him as old European castles and forts have always fascinated him.

In the New Nordic castles there different suites, each with a unique style. Perhaps one of the more interesting for lovers of all things ghostly is a the seventh floor Jail Penthouse, but you can also enjoy hidden caves and feel as though a dragon may appear at any second. Interior designers have been working with this concept for 18 months to ensure everything is perfect, according to the spokesperson.

Because of the special interiors and designs, New Nordic’s Castle units are for sale at a much higher price than normal for the company. The company said it was surprised when its agents were extremely positive about the project, and told them this was one of the most special things they had seen in Pattaya, and perhaps anywhere in Thailand.

Units have been selling at what the developer says an incredible speed, and within just three months they sold the number of units they expected to sell over the course of two whole years.

Planning for the interiors of the castles has been happening for years, but now construction has started. Land has been cleared and the first piling machines are on site. Construction are expected to be finished December 2017 with the hotel opening a few months after that.
