Most-searched last week

Sukhumvit emerged as the most-searched area in Bangkok for property for rent by users of Thailand number one English language property website during the first week of December.

Highlighting the huge number of rental property options available throughout the city, On Nut was ranked second, Sathorn third, Bang Na fourth and Ratchadamri in fifth place according to data collated by the website.

Whilst rental prices for central Sukhumvit are some of the most expensive in Bangkok, second-ranked On Nut has continued to see a large number of users looking for larger spaces at lower prices. The same also applies to fourth-ranked Bang Na, which also offers cheaper rental options – however the traditional central Bangkok locations still recorded high numbers of searches during the week ending December 7.

Adam Sutcliffe, Managing Director of Thailand-Property.com, said: “Bangkok real estate agents can benefit from knowing where people are searching for property to rent. Property owners too, who have been undecided about whether to sell, can use this information to make a more informed decision.

“Popular locations for property rental in Bangkok are literally changing from week to week. Thong Lor was the most-searched area for Bangkok property to rent during the month of November, but it failed to rank anywhere in the top five last week.

“This shows just how ‘in tune’ Bangkok real estate agents and property owners need to be with current search patterns and market demand.”
